Getting Shiftpod to the Playa

Will JetBlue take a Shiftpod as a checkin. I 7nderstand there would be additional fees. I have to come in from the east coast. The shipping trucks from here may wind up filled.

You might save a lot of money shipping air freight or UPS ground instead of baggage. Air Freight you would pick up at airport, UPS at a UPS store.

Have you looked at regional communities? I know here in D.C. they make arrangements for a few trucks to carry everything from bins and bikes to larger equipment like Pods and artwork. I've heard of similar setups in other parts of the east coast.

Shiftpod is about 6ft long and 77”x13”x13”hen in bag.

From here but they fill up quick and one is done by lottery. I need a plan if that doesn’t work.

Sounds about the size of a ski-bag and those fly just fine.

The key will be the weight and the price tag.

Call the airline and ask once you have the weight.

I know Alaska Airlines don't charge for "sporting equipment". Maybe others too.
