Hi everyone! I'm from another country and I will have 2 days in LA to prepare for BM. I was trying to find shops with rebars via web, but i didnt find nothing, only wallmart with 1 week delivery. A lot of small tent stakes in hardware shops, but not rebars.
Where do I can find and buy rebars?
Where to buy rebars in LA?
Re: Where to buy rebars in LA?
Home Depot or Lowe’s has them.
Ask for the concrete section in the stor.

Although a lot of people are switching to lag screws. You won't find long enough lag screws there, https://www.jetfitting.com/ is LA local and ships quickly. Free shipping to local area too, which for that weight is VERY nice.
Figure at least 3/8" x 14" for moderate structures with shade cloth, 1/2" x 16+" for larger ones with tarps which can capture the wind a lot more.

FYI the Home Despot store sells straight rebar pieces, not candy-canes
At least in my experience. If you're shopping for candy cane pieces there are a few sellers on that Rainforest or E-auction site, search for "J Deer Stakes" and get 18" pieces for structures, or 12" for small tents are OK.

For international travelers, don’t go with lag bolts.
And candy-cane rebar is ridonculous. Total waste of thought on that one.
This is available at Home Despot for $0.80 each:
12 inch 3/8 nail spike.
(30 cm x 9.5mm nail)

Works super good with a 16 Oz claw hammer sold for under $20 at the same purveyor of fine goods.

That giant nail is probably about as good as rebar is of the same length (same length in the ground that is). Although an advantage is it doesn't have as sharp a top. 12" should be OK for most basic tents and non-tarp shade stuff, as long as it's fully nailed into the ground at the proper angle.
