Best liquor to gift to a bar?

Post by HughMungus » Thu Jun 23, 2005 7:49 pm

After having worked in a few playa bars, I always bring liquor to gift to bars. But I wonder: what's the best liquor-type gift for YOUR bar? What do you run out of most and wish you had more of? Everybody likes boxed wine, right? :P
It's what you make it.

I would recommend vodka. As a bartender, I can tell you that it's pretty much the most common liquor ordered. Rum and tequila are definitely good, too. And while you're at it, would you add a splash of gin and a squeeze of lemon. And top it with a tiny splash of sweet and sour and a little, little bit of coke and we'll be good to do. And make sure that's LIGHT tequila and rum, please.
Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.

Oddly enough, when I ask guys who run bars on the playa, they always ask me to bring mixers -- pineapple juice, Lopez cream of coconut -- they claim to have all the liquor they need. Oh, and cups! They always run out of cups. Maybe I just hang around the wrong bars.

Yep, Former casino bartender here. It's all about the supplies. If you have a mutant vehicle and you gift them an ice run, just notice they are low and show up with some. You'll be rolled in coconut and eaten alive. Enjoy.
