Introducing myself

Post by theSelf » Wed Sep 12, 2018 7:58 pm

Hi tribe.. Just came back from my first Burn (2018).. been trying to make it for 10 years.. So grateful and delighted I made it finally.. What an incredible experience! At times it was very uncomfortable, intense and overwhelming but those breakdowns lead to some life changing breakthroughs which I'm excited to integrate into my every day life.

I'm Los Angeles based and am keen to plug into my local Burner community especially and am interested and in finding a themed Camp to connect with and serve in any way I can. I'd like to be a lot more organized and prepared for 2019 (I was lucky enough to get my ticket two days before 2018's Burn officially started) but mostly I'm all about building and serving community.. To me the quality of one's life is in direct proportion to the quality of our relationships and am all about forging deep connections/relationships with my fellow tribe.

I'm pretty creative.. I'm an Actor and Photographer though I'm open to exploring other creative arts like painting and music. I'm all about having fun yet also am about personal and spiritual growth and an trained in NLP and other coaching practices, yet I'm open to volunteering in any capacity I can that is needed. I'm interested in helping with any artistic projects especially.

Big hugs! ❤️👐🙏

Justin (though I was unofficially given a Playa name 'The Big Snuggler'

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome, theSelf! :D

Regional contacts are here:

And the LA Decompression event is here:

To have such a wide range of reactions and feelings--especially during your first Burn--is so familiar. I'm glad you've come back filled with such inspiration. Keep it going! And keep hydrating. I realized the other day that my hydration is impeccable at the Burn and then I fall off the wagon in the default world.

Thank you Savannah- yes I'm planning on going to the Venice (CA) AfterBurn this weekend and the LA Decompression in October- just getting over my Playa Lung- need to be better disciplined with my masks next time and yes hydration is always key - something I too struggle with in general- appreciate your feedback!
