Establishing principles for a new camp

Post by Hogie » Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:42 am

A group of seasoned burners are currently looking to split off of our existing camp to form a new camp from scratch, and we'd like to have a little more organizational structure than our previous camp. Does anyone have any resources in terms of camp guidelines, policies, and principles that have worked well? Anything from the new member process to mediating disagreements to core principles would be greatly appreciated.

We use a vetting process where every member has a sponsor who vouches for the person and also vows to pick up the slack of the person if they don't fulfill their duties.

We also tend to agree to disagree about some things. This way we can move forward without getting too bogged down by fights.
