Seeking Interested Burners for a Traditional Experience and the opportunity to be a part of a new group we plan to put together for 2005 BM. I am a33 year veteran Drum Major and this will be my first burn. I am a member of Camp Pappillion and all the vets in my camp have insisted that I organize a band for the playa. I will supply a couple of full scores of music for marching band and will organize a rehearsal or 2 if enough interest is out there. The Players of the Playa could do a gig for the lamplighters like Thursday nite maybe, or maybe we will come in on Sat. nite to get things cranked up for the burn or who knows what at this point. Contact me at [email protected] and I will take it from there.

Sorry for replying to you Andrew, but I wanted this posted.
Could you please pass this on to Mark?

Howdy Mark and other marchers,

There will be a mutant vehicle parade (Have Freak, Will travel) during sunset on Friday night (see the e-playa or what-when-where for more details). I am encouraging musicians and/or general noise-makers to join in the fun in a "Mutant Mutiny". Your marching band would be greatly welcomed!!! The parade will be just inside the Esplanade.

Hope to hear you there,

Hi all - I am a long-time drum corps member - in the color guard. I don't play an instrument, but I swing a mean flag and can toss a quad on the rifle! Let me know if this gig is still happening, I am interested...

Post by awg123 » Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:48 pm

HI:

I am bringing a full drum kit, maybe I can rig something for the snare, don't read but have a good ear. Let me know where you will be if you like.

HI! Stop by our camp (CampPapillion 9:30 and esplanade) we're going to be the 60 foot caterpillar. We're birthing a 30 foot butterfly Thursday (Friday if conditions don't allow).

We're looking to make an event of the birthing. Have any other musicians who would like to join in??

Spread the word!!
