So a fellow camper is deep frying a turkey on Thursaday. He is purchasing the turkey in Reno on Saturday and will be arriving on the playa on Sunday.
I am interested in hearing anyone's experience with bird on the playa or any useful tips in making it a safe experience for everyone involved. Thoughts?

Have a well-thought-out plan for bone-disposal for all those who will be partaking of it. Do not allow the bones or debris to go in the porta-potties. There will be a lot of greasy mess, have a plan for cleaning it and gray-water disposal.

hmm...
I think Jonathan Swift would disagree with you - it IS ok to attempt to eat the homeless of BRC.
In regards to the second post: In the portapottie? The first incarnation or the second? (Number One or Number Two)
I am basically concerned about how well the turkey will keep... thoughts?

i'd plan on getting the turkey (if properly stored) eaten before the end of day 3.
porta-potties, if it don't come out of you, don't put it in the porta-potty.
