Any European burners planning to go this year or next?

Post by Pandora » Wed Jan 05, 2005 4:05 am

Dutchie burner is looking for mates to join her on 'the big trip' this year or maybe next.
Since I'm a first timer, I'm also looking for people to share their experienes with me, or other rookies to plan this trip with.[/b]

To all EuroBurners: Just a warning -- America has become a strange and terrible place. This will be especially apparent to those who have visited before and are returning. First time visitors will be shocked and saddened by the proto-Soviet feel of the gulag in the making we call America. Those of us who live here have been inflicted with the death of a thousand cuts, but wrapped as we are in cheap power and cheaper entertainment, we actually seem to enjoy the stultification. Come to America and come to burningman, by all means. Just be watchful and ready to mourn a once great nation.

Miss Malibu and me (or should that be I?) are popping over from the UK this year. Send me a message if you want any advice. I don't know what I'm talking about though!

I'm a swedish guy who planned to go to Burning Man together with a friend, but he recently changed his mind. Since I really want to go and I have the ticket, I'm going there alone. I arrive in SF on the 24th of August. It would be nice to meet up with some other people and maybe camp together.

There is a large number of people from Europe heading out to the playa this year. Quixotes cabaret will have many of them there so pop by and get some ideas and support from them. Also try to contact Hageys Black Rock Burner Hostel - he helps a good number for euros onto the playa every year. He's easy to google.

And, at the risk of sounding repetetive, check out playadust and euroburners at:

www.playadust.org
www.euroburners.org

respectively. These are the main sources of info for european burner activity. You will find most of what you need to know from the sites or by contacting people on them.
