Hello beautiful beings of the BM community,
As our theme camp grows, so do the amount of camp dues! This year we are expecting about 12k to be collected, donated and fundraised to make our camp happen. I am reaching out for advice on how to manage our camp finances so it doesn’t have to be connected to a a certain individual for taxes and such. Looked into an LLC (in CA) but it appears one must pay $800/year minimum annual taxes.

Any help/tips would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

We recently Incorporated our camp as a 501c3 non-profit corporation in Califotnia. No taxes due as long as the gross income is under $50,000.00

This varies from state to state, so you would need to investigate the terms and fees for your state our do more research and incorporate in a different state.
