Please take a bit of initiative to figure this out for yourself. The playa is a extremely harsh environment, that is actively trying to kill you.

Welcome!! I expect to meet alot of new faces this year. I hope half of them do their research and come prepared. Sun screen, rain gear, dust mask, warm clothing, water, food....(are you getting the picture?) It can be harsh and if you don't know that in advance, you won't have as good a time as you expect. Read alittle learn alot. I really do mean, "welcome". NOW. If you want costume and clothing advise we have tons of it.

You need to bring me a Soviet military jacket that has been let out at the seams and has panels put in so it fits. And a purple fur ushanka. I can provide my own pin for it.

You don't really need to bring anything. Just bring some large fireworks and a purple vibrator, the rest of the week will work itself out.

Read the first timer's guide and survival guide, peruse the boards. You might be able to figure it out.

I hope you intended to be sarcastic. Giving idiotic, bad advice to virgins gives everyone here a good idea as to what kind of person you are.

Seriously, I see that you have 1 burn under your belt. 2011 at that. So, you have never been in a 12 hour dust storm where you cannot see your elbow. You have never had a inch and half of rain on the first day. Never had night time temperatures in the mid to low 30's...

We bring the gear that we might need. I prefer to be self reliant and confident in my probable survival. Being a burden on others is never noble, honorable or necessary.
