In the last ten days, my twitter, pinterest and email (comcast) have all been hacked. Mostly weight loss and work from home stuff. From Tehran. Evil fat jobless Persians, huh?

yeah, I was sure my FB was hacked: I logged in, and it was all photos of Simon pole dancing.
but, after rubbing my eyes, I realized I had logged into my RFID account and my headchip™ was set to "fiction". So, it's all ok.

Boo on hackings, shootings, and other terrible things. Facebook being a little slow doesn't really bug me so much.

There was a lot of cooking and crafting going on around our place this weekend. We got to the farmer's market and found some great stuff, and she proceeded to make a bunch of tasty things. Homemade caramel ice cream and some kind of lemon sorbet, and then a double-sized batch of her lemon bars to take to work and share with her coworkers. Our bounty also included goodies from my favorite baker and butcher shops, so even doing something as simple as a burger was amazing. Pandorra couldn't resist using some of the bits of fabric and fur she had left (after a recent coat project) and made an adorable lion hoodie for the kitten. Considering how much time the cat had spent laying on the fabric during the earlier project, I could see where she'd get the impression that kitty wanted her own. I got a lot of tech tinkering done, and was able to jump on board a couple last-minute all-hands testing projects that popped up over the weekend. I also got to spend a bit of quality time in Second Life, and connected with a few friends from faraway that I hadn't seen in a while.

Today is another round of technical mojingo, upgrading things and running various tests and optimizations on the gf's computer. There's also housework tedium to get to, but I'd rather not think about that any more than I already have to... hope your Mondays kick ass!

*struts into Bar with a spring in his step, face glowing and grinning*

There is hope for humanity after all!

On my morning walk, I was coming out of some woods and needed to cross a street. A red sedan was approaching, so I planted my feet well apart and crossed my arms – my standard pose to indicate I am happily and patiently awaiting my turn to cross the street – not a hazard to motorists.

The red sedan stopped. About 20 or 30 courteous feet from me. And I saw the driver’s hand waving me across.

This has not happened since last time I was in Norway. There, a pedestrian intending to cross a street constitutes a Stop Sign for motorists. Here, if I try that as a motorist, I get rear-ended.

Interesting that this should happen just days after I made the epiphanistic ( ;-) ) decision to accept the World as it is. I may have to start a new religion.

Happen to be yeilding a bloody big hatchet at the time?

That could explain it....

oh me of such little faith
Worry is a misuse of imagination

She had blue skin, And so did he.
He kept it hid And so did she.
They searched for blue Their whole life through,
Then passed right by- And never knew.”

I remain stoked about your epiphany, Elliot. :) Even in letting go a little, I don't think it's possible for you to lack high standards, strong opinions, or a work ethic. But it seems like there's the potential for less aggravation . . .

Well, you can't very well go shoving a piano around naked in a Dracula cape. It's not dignified.

Something modest, on a leash, though . . .
