Yeah Elliot, bentonite, is very heavy, so sinks to the bottom and seals a lot of seepage.
you can even do it with the pond full, by sprinkling in the water, and agitating (I've seen it done with an outboard motor on a small boat), dumping the clay over the side and running in circles with the boat. the clay settles pretty evenly on the bottom and creates a pretty good seal.

Good morning! Getting naked on the first of May, is that a thing? My sympathies, Simon, I can relate. When I used to live in Pittsburgh way back when they would occasionally get some production shooting in town (the city offers all kinds of incentives to lure 'em in) and bam. Hotels booked, parking in the neighborhoods they're working in is FUBAR, and then there's the street closures. Plus of course the local news and stuff gets all flustered and excited. Then again, hooray for somebody wanting to come throw money around and mix things up a bit.

I know it's a bit late, but wow Fishy, that octopus is awesome! Boo on the cold and snow, AntiM, hopefully the season turns the page on you soon.

Forget when the man burns. for me the freakout date is the 21st…departure day...16 weeks from today! Gotta have it all done, packed, and ready to roll. I got a much earlier start and am making pretty good progress, but man there's so much to do. Speaking of which, I've got time booked on machines today and Friday for building stuff. I also need to juggle some stuff between storage and the loft afterwards. Need my caffeine then get to prepping and packing stuff to take over to the workshop.

Not quite naked weather here in Norway either, but we had a reasonably successful Season Opening Day at the zoo. That is, as successful as can be expected with such incomplete facilities. I mingled with the crowds to judge the mood, and people seemed happy all around. Cannot ask for more.

2 days of no sleep due to a bad tooth.

Finally got to sleep a 5am this morning.

Brain doesn't want to cooperate on packing and logistics.

Gotta remember to pack the Maypole!

Tooth pain sucks!

I think I may have torn my eardrum; I was rinsing with my saline, then tried to blow my nose. Bam! Ouch, scrunchie noise, then terrible earache. That was a few days ago, now it aches a little now and then, and at night, I can hear my blood "tapping" deep inside my ear. Hate that.

get bucket of water, hang padlock and handcuff keys on a string in middle of bucket. Freeze bucket.
hang block of ice from tree limb, padlock chain and handcuffs around tree. lie at base of tree, and wait for ice to melt and unlock chain, handcuffs.

just a suggestion if you want to go outside and enjoy the weather, when it's nice.
