NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

Post by oneeyeddick » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:27 pm

I'll start.

Years ago my resolution was to never make a New Year's resolution again, but I am making one this year.

I will purchace a ticket , just like the rest of you guys, this year.

No local's pass, friends of locals discounts, or DPW gate crashing for me this year.

I feel better now.

Happy new years everyone !!!

I resolve to drink more in 2010. I have finally cracked open that bottle of Cuervo 201 I got for Christmas in 1996. One shot down, 345 ml. to go...

Be lazy and lose weight

Post by Oldguy » Thu Dec 31, 2009 9:03 pm

How to Be Lazy and Lose Weight by Allen from e-how:

Most everyone already knows that the trick to losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. If you are lazy, that leaves you with only one choice - diet. Counting calories and attending meetings is too much work. This article will list some easy ways for the lazy person to lose weight.

Instructions
Step 1 The most important step is to drink lots of water. Water will fill you up for zero calories. Don't drink any soda, even diet soda because it is so sweet that you will want other sweet things.

Step 2 While we are talking about liquids, low fat milk is good for you. Drink 24 ounces per day. That is equal to about 2 big glasses. Consider drinking one with breakfast and one with dinner (milk helps you sleep).

Step 3 When you go out to eat, divide your food in half. Only eat half and take the other half home for dinner. Now you can be lazy and don't have to fix dinner.

Step 4 Eat 1/2 of your meal as vegetables, 1/4 of your meal as meat, and 1/4 of your meal as starch. Consider having one or two meals per week of only vegetables.

Step 5 I'm sure you have heard "out of sight, out of mind". Make sure to put healthy foods such as raw vegetables in your sight and junk food out of sight.

Step 6 Plan in a snack between breakfast and lunch and a snack between lunch and dinner. Make sure to have something healthy planned, else you may resort to getting junk out of a vending machine.

Step 7 Put your snack foods up really high in a cabinet that requires a ladder to get to. This will keep you from getting the foods because it requires a lot of effort.

Step 8 If you need to keep your mouth moving, try gum or even chewing on a toothpick or straw. You are probably not hungry, you just need something for your mouth to do.

Step 9 Try to only eat foods that contain good stuff. Read labels to make sure you are getting adequate nutrition.

Step 10 Forget what your mother told you about cleaning your plate. Eat slower and stop eating once you are full.

Normally I'm not big on New Year's resolutions, but this year I have a few I intend to keep. I will make it to the desert of course, no matter the cost, I will cut back on the smoking and drinking, and I will TRY like Hell to not post when I'm too fucked up to see my computer screen, it's gotten me into too much trouble and repeatedly made me look like the ass that I most definitely am. Of course tonight is an exception... Also I really want carnal knowledge of the wife of a close friend, and despite her apparent interest I will not act on my animalistic urges! Unless I think I can get away with it once then I'll probably go for it!

I am SUCH a Douchebag!

I resolve to take oldguy's advice and eat healthy foods to lose some weight. I started 2009 needing to drop 10 lbs. and now I find myself starting 2010 needing to drop 15 lbs.

In 2 hours from this posting, my gym opens and I intend to be there to start dropping this excess weight. I go regularly, but it's the snacking between meals that's killing me.

There, I said it! Now I must follow through. :D

You are invited to come to Sun Valley to my house where I will gift you some matches when you are done with that.

I wouldn't even line my pet rat's cage with that...they don't like things with preservatives in them.

Uh oh Ugly Dougly is going to take up surgery!!!
Sure 1080p is better if you re using the screen for precise apps like, say, surgery or if you plan on using your very expensive TV to stare at a lot of still pictures. But for the most part, when manufacturers tell you 1080p is the greatest thing since the Hoola Hoop and a fantastic way to future-proof your TV purchase, they re just blowing smoke up your arse. In fact, according to Milbourn, From a home entertainment standpoint, 1080p is absolutely not worth the extra money.
