Highest Price Found
Hey there -
Its time again, find the shittiest deal for a burningman ticket. This year will certainly be different. With Gate sales and the last tier price being available right up until the gates open or close that would limit the price a scalper could get - not so this year.
I found 798.00 on TicketExpress.com for General admission tickets to BM.

Re: Highest Price Found
Some guy who has a gift/staff ticket was selling it on Craigslist LA for $1000. I was going to post the link, but it has been flagged for removal.

Folks on Denver Craigslist are trying to buy for 400-450. They are bidding on tickets that aren't even posted for sale.

Re: Highest Price Found
There's an asshat on StubHub with 16 tickets priced at $1498 apiece. Sadly, he/she will likely sell them.

Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Re: Highest Price Found
For kicks, you could post info and links about places that have tickets in the 2011 tickets board. There seem to be an awful lot of people in there right now who could use every bit of help they can get.

Re: Highest Price Found
I was referring to maryanimal's post, she mentioned a reasonably priced set of tickets and asked if she should post it here. I say give the ticket hunters help and info if you can. I strongly suspect that most of them are ever going to put off getting their playa tickets to the last minute again.Playa Hater wrote:Im sure they would love a $10,000 set of tickets. lol.

I used my regular ebay account and asked if he felt good about selling that far above face value. I''ll share his reply, if I get one.

Re: Highest Price Found
They started at $540, and someone thought they were scalpers and drove up the price. I bet they're just burners who needed to unload their tickets and got caught up in the frenzy.jella wrote:I had to look twice but 10 grand is what I see![]()

Same dickweeds are doing this to other auctions too. I'm warning the sellers to use Buy It Now if they relist.

Re: Highest Price Found
this is actually a great way to fuck scalpers up.
open up a couple of fake e-bay accounts, run the price up to a point where it's not realistic at all (10K and upwards).
win the bid.
disappear.
the seller is left with nothing at all. you get to laugh at him, next time he tries posting those tix on e-bay do the same to him.

I'm with the two wrongs don't make a right philosophy and why pick on people that start within legit price ranges

Re: Highest Price Found
Because E-Bay itself isn't the right place to sell your ticket. it aims at pumping the price up.
you want to sell it? put it on craigslist or facebook or here. at the face value. and sell to the first person you find reliable enough.
