Groovy cat looking for a theme camp!

Post by mysticmoon33 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 9:55 am

hello friends, this will be my first burn, but not my first festival. I have always yearned to explore Black Rock City. and I may be doing this journey solo ( I am coming from Canada), so I am not really particular about who and where I join. If anyone would like to provide me some info or some opportunities that would be great. I guess a short synopsis of my self is necessary; I am a musician (drums are my main instrument) and I am a traveler. I love dancing and anything artistic, meeting new souls, connecting, writing poetry and reading a good book. I have been to a few other festivals, such as Shambhala and the OM reunion project. But I haven't heard of any other festivals like BM so I have been compelled to come their. I don't have a ticket yet, as well all know there is a high demand. But I remaining calm and allowing the universe to do its work. It is meant to be! So if anyone has info on a camp I can join I would be very thankful. Peace and love to my brothers and sisters across the map.

No, sorry. Imagine tens of thousands of people posting here to say hi, in their own brand new personal thread, since they are new.
Do your homework. Solo is only a way you get here, and how you plan your gear. Once you arrive, you'll see what I mean.
Radical self reliance.

Where in canada are you located? Most provinces have regional groups, here in winnipeg our maniburn facebook.group has well over 100 members. So look into that. Get to know some people, and maybe find out if they are people you can work with.

The CryptoFishist's link above is going to be super helpful. Also, check everything in the "Regionals" link on the top right of the main site and join your own region and some neighboring ones.

Finding the right camp (which is optional) is a little like getting a job. Camps want you to contribute to their crazy vision first and foremost. So look for a good fit, tell them why it is you match up well, & what you're good at doing--cooking, cleaning, bartending, building stuff . . .

Welcome. :)
