Verve, I went with an ebay seller, and it's not described as Condor, but the dimensions are the same, and it was a little bit less expensive. For some reason paint ball people use a lot of the military molle system equipment.
I found a bag of these, 6 or so, that I got when they were well clearanced around Christmas. I was thinking of putting some on the tree... but they got "tidied up" into a camp bag, and I forgot about them. It unfolds to a useable length. gimmicky, sure, and it might not last, but it's cute, and that counts for something.

Very cool and thanks a lot. Backpacking mentality, always a struggle for me who wants it all and the kitchen sink. I like the refinement and simplicity. Sadly not my natural state but what I need to balance that frickin heavy sink.

Here's a backpacking axiom: the more I pack, the more I enjoy camping. The less I pack, the more I enjoy hiking. For Burning Man it can be adjusted for packing unpacking, and cleaning. The less I pack, the less I hate packing and coming home and cleaning it all.

I was looking for boots on Kijiji and saw this coat....

.... It's very similar to what it was thinking of making. So I bought it. :D

Sweet find, I found a full length fur coat for $25 at an estate sale last summer that I'm bringing.

It's official. I have begun preparations. Husband has completed our dome, and I look forward to it replacing our dumb little 10x10 shade (not pop-up). Today the camo netting for it arrived by mail. 20x20 desert camo. Yay!

I have also started collecting supplies and fabric for this years fashion designs. I have vowed to finish one a month, and not all weeks worth the day before we leave...

I also found these cool little frosted plastic lanterns at Target that I will cover in sheer fabrics for a nice caravansary-esque lighting effect in our dome. Sorry, no pics.

I went to Wal Ugh I can't say it and got a cheap dome tent and one of those extreme coolers.
I'll set up the tent and see if it is suitable or too crappy.

Got a couple of insulated, stainless steel, wide-mouth, water bottles today. They'll be much easier to clean than those with spouts and we can use them for both hot and cold.

I use the spout bottles because someone knocked into me when I was drinking out of one of those metal bottles. Shoved the bottle into the bridge of my nose, I was seeing stars and sparkles for quite a while. Painful. They may be less of a hassle to keep clean, but I only use my metal bottles at home now.

Lol I was the chef. The owner of the company convinced me. Stay with the restaurant until April 15th so I can still cater the Juno awards in three weeks. And train the new chef. Then he's transferring.me to another one proud restaurants that's in trouble. The good news is the one I currently work at is across the city and doesn't have parking but the new one is two blocks from my house.... Soooo. Turns out.it was a win :-D

I do, even after the company owner convinced me to just transfer locations. I'm still stepping down.from management though. It's not worth the headaches. And being able to walk to work im saving more then enough money to make up the difference. And don't have the stress of having to be the guy publishes and fires people he knows and likes working with.

Sounds like a definite win. I definitely don't have the personality to be in management - that would be a deal breaker for me.
Good luck, I hope the new place has good folks to work with.

Thanks Joeln. Yeah, after years of being the guy in charge it starts to get to you. I have a natural alpha personality and am usually a take charge guy in most situations but it doesnt mean that having to be the guy that has to give people shit doesnt really really suck.

Yeah I'm a little worried about the sharpness of the edge but I tested it yesterday and indeed it did keep hot liquid hot for 6 hours!!! The paperwork said it keeps cold bevs cold for 12 hours. This will be very handy on Playa but maybe I'll just use it as a bottle and get a nesting cup like the one Elorrum got.

I picked up a nice little impact driver today and put it to use clearing off my Candle Rack Jig table so I could work on my new to me golf cart engine. Then I worked on said engine and my compression tester was nowhere to be found. By hand it feels good and that will have to do. 8) 8)

So today I modified the inside of my playapod door!!! 8)

I cut a piece of a carpet protector for a smooth surface and hung a little flat brass chain at the top and bottom.

If you don't have a playapod, I highly recommend you do this on the inside of ALL your doors and windows.

I have been putting a wet rag on my head under my cap for many years..
Also have been putting a wet towel around my neck in the heat of the day..

Don't know about your chill towel .. Some are made with the water drawing stuff I use in the planter.. I plan on making a under cap pillow of the stuff. It will hold water for a long time..

Far as I'm concerned...there ain't nothing better than a good, old fashioned, wet bandana!

I placed a big order yesterday for some of the kitchen equipment that we'll need for a delivery operation we're bringing back to the playa. Having it early will allow us to test things, as well as give me the opportunity to figure out some stuff I need to built that will go with it.

I also got a bunch of work done on the 3D modeling for this year's camp. Even though lots of it is the same, I've improved my 3D design skills and so have been re-making all the components in much greater detail than I had last year. So many polygons... :)

Actually worked out for the best, the company president asked me to transfer rather then quit. So not only do Innot have to deal with the manager that was the issue but im moving to a location two blocks from my house and keeping pretty much the same pay. If you factor in not having to drivedrive I'm coming out on top.

Wow, the kitchen gear showed up already. I wasn't expecting it so soon, it was big and heavy and I chose the basic freight since we weren't in a hurry.

I also got a proposal put together and sent off today. A company that makes some software we'd like to use expressed that they might be willing to gift us a copy for non-commercial purposes. If that ends up coming together that could really help me out, not only for this year but for a bunch of future art projects.
