First time burner from Montreal

Post by shagadelik » Wed Mar 12, 2014 8:55 am

Good morning beautiful people of ePlaya

I've been hearing about this mystic festival where they burn a man and live in the desert for about 8 years now, and the last few years have been all about learning more, hearing from friends who lived the experience and dreaming about going one day.

This year, I just went head first into the ticket sale and... well... I got my ticket !

Obviously, I didn't talk to anybody else from my group of friends because they always have money problems to attend this kind of event (even a single Broken Bells show in Montreal is too much for them... I guess we all have our priorities). SO, I'm going there solo without a car and without plans (for now).

I'm wondering if I can join a camp or something to make the whole experience about meeting awesome people and sharing the fun.

Thanks to all of you, much love.

Welcome to eplaya. Sure...you can join a camp. Which one would you like to join? Open enrollment ends in a few weeks.

Dear shagadelick,

We are so sorry to inform you that tickets for the music festival sold out in a record 44 minutes this year.

We have also reached our quota of Canadians.

But please hang around, read the survival guide, get involved.

Lol, as if they're ever a problem ;)

Enrollment ends in a few weeks ? Where should I get started ? How can I "visit" camps or talk to the owners of those camps ?

Why do you think we have a quota. Can you imagine what the burn would be like if it were suddenly infused with a polite, helpful, responcible vibe?

Or ePlaya for that matter?

Yeah, but I'm good to counter 10 Canadians...
