I was amazed that I didn't give up on the first page. It's hard to keep stuff like that fresh.

Whew... finished five pieces this morning, have a dozen more on deck. I don't think I've ever gotten so much done so early. Probably not, because I usually clear the kitchen table until after Valentine's Day. Not this year. Still a studio, of sorts.

Ancient Burner, I eagerly await the next chapter of your journey. It was my first burn and you captivated my interests.

AncientBurner is not on eplaya yet, but I'll send your message on to him. I will also take down your email address, as that's not a great thing to just post openly... the spambots will get you.

I'm thinking of having a view-only gallery too. I would not place it next to the Home, but along one side of my carports, behind the trailer. Plenty of Not For Adoption/Private Collection signage. Come see the Egress? Thoughts, anyone, everyone?

Acquired awful canvas board paintings, mostly unfinished. Yay!

+1 for a view only gallery.AntiM wrote:I'm thinking of having a view-only gallery too. I would not place it next to the Home, but along one side of my carports, behind the trailer. Plenty of Not For Adoption/Private Collection signage. Come see the Egress? Thoughts, anyone, everyone?
I have been been putting paint on canvas since the last burn with the idea of gifting them through AM's HFWA. Though some are getting to be like children - look, admire and please don't take them from me.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2014
Releasing some of my pieces has been downright traumatizing. I have only kept one, but there are half a dozen I wish I had hung onto. Not that I have room on my walls at home though.

Whew, got the placement form done. Camp within a village makes it simpler.
Also, I sold a painting. I know! I feel both giddy and guilty.

I like the colors in that, AntiM!

Did you decide one way or the other on the view only gallery. I'd offer to help with materials, set-up etc. I also have a truck to haul stuff if needed.

I love the gallery idea too.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2014
It would mostly be just an area off to the side/behind.... nothing as grand as chicken wire, just a few easels. Still in the concept stage. Maybe a stand up chicken wore panel, but with chickenwire in the front too, to prevent the pieces from taking a walk. Like the stage in the country bar in Blues Brothers, but skinny.

I have not painted in about a month, although I've sewn and worked on a bike. For shame, huh?

No. No shaming. Leads to bad art. If there's any art at all...

True. Moving forward with several in progress pieces today. If I can get them done and off the table, then I won't feel so stuck.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2014
Finished some shiny things, a couple paintings are done, some more collage work, using up the old calendars and bits and pieces, made six art badges. Began putting art into one of the art bins.
Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2014
I'm glad to see art that isn't flat pictures. I lean towards items rather than canvas. I hope that's ok? I picked up a copper wire basket that I may bring just as I found it. All wire and squishy. Fun.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2014
Items are fine, although I am not set up for very many all at once. I only have the tiny table and little bits of the trailer fender. The two in the picture are leftover items from the year before which I gussied up.
If I get too many small items, and schwag, they might end up in the gifting box.

The ladybug was courtesy of Fishy, I just framed it. Marked "France" on the bottom, probably was a collectible at one time.
