Smithsonian Photo Contest
Yesterday it was announced that my photo of the Black Rock Bijou at Burning Man 2013, has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Smithsonian Photography Contest (http://www.smithsonianmag.com/photocont ... 180950372/); I’m honored to have my work alongside such amazing and beautiful images.

If you haven't informed the BR Bijou people, do so.
(Yeah, yeah, eplaya, you post something quasi-informational, and you get the third degree on some odd variant of the 10 principles.)
It is a lovely shot.

First thing I did when the Smithsonian notified me, was contact the BM press team and the Bijou team, both gave the okay.theCryptofishist wrote:If you haven't informed the BR Bijou people, do so.

Thank you for doing the right thing, and I like to give artists their due, because this world likes to fuck with artists.

Re: Smithsonian Photo Contest
There's another Burning man photo in the contest. Mobile category #6.
It is a photogenic place. Wish my aunt, who is really a gifted photographer, could see it.

Congrats! I just saw that in a gallery on the Atlantic and knew it had to be from the event.
