I got my ticket! That was a stressful 50 minute wait, whew, glad it's over and now I just need to plan for the next 6 months . . . . .

I just want to let everyone know that this year's Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro ovals came in. They are large (5 3/4" X 3 3/4") with BRC in the middle and come in either red on black or black on red. We do have some left over from last year which are identical except they're pink on black and vice versa. If you'd like a BRC sticker shoot me an email to: [email protected], tell me which color scheme (you can choose two) and I'll get them off in the mail within a few days. And no, you don't have to be a member of our camp to receive them. It's our gift to the playa, along with everything else we so generously provide. Also, if you'd like to be included in the Barbie Death Camp newsletter mailing list, I can add your name. We currently have 560 people on the newsletter list, so a few more won't make much of a difference I suppose.

I just got an email from an old campmate. It turns out that at Google, each building has a theme and then the conference rooms inside have mini-themes based on the building's theme. One of the buildings is called "Burning Man" and there's a conference room themed "Barbie Death Camp"! We're trying to get some pictures and link them to the June newsletter. Which just goes further to prove what all of us already pretty much knew: Our theme camp is better than yours.

Barbiebarians and others who may be looking for a ride, lend me your ears. Or eyes, whatever. One of our Villagemates will be driving her 40' Blue Bird bus from Pensacola, FL to BRC in August. She is not asking for any help with paying for gas! Yes, a free ride. What she will need is some assistance with driving, but more importantly help with lifting and working the hook ups. She is undergoing shoulder surgery later this month and won't be even close to recovered by August. We will set aside an early entry pass for you providing you promise to help set up and possibly tear down as well. She can pick you up anywhere along the route from say Pensacola or New Orleans to Salt Lake City. PM me if you're interested. If you're not yet a member of Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro but would consider joining us to take advantage of this offer, you can PM me as well. As we often say, "Many are called, few are chosen" but in this case we may make an exception.
