Seeing that STEP just opened today for both buyers and sellers, and that buyers have up to 72 hours to make a decision, and that not everyone in STEP is on ePlaya (by a long-shot), I am not even vaguely shocked that no-one has posted anything in the 3 hours that this thread has existed.

I bought two tickets and two vehicle passes, i have a friend that wants half, i do not need step do I?

When do they send tickets for me? I can just hand them to my friend right?

Tickets will start being mailed in mid-late June, once you receive yours you may hand them to whomever you like, one or both.

I received an offer for two tickets earlier today! It went straight into my spam folder (on Yahoo mail) -- good thing I checked! Public service announcement: whitelist emails from ticketfly.com, and/or check your spam folder regularly.

I got into the STEP queue at 12:01 pm PDT on 4/22. The offer email is from Ticketfly Customer Support ([email protected]) and the subject line is "Burning Man tickets available". The email begins with:

"Hello!

You are the next person in the Secure Ticket Exchange Program (STEP) queue and Burning Man tickets have become available for you to buy. You only have 72 hours from the time this email was sent to buy these tickets. After that time your access code expires and the tickets are offered to the next person waiting."

I like what I'm hearing!! Although, I got in at 12:04... So, I'll be waiting a little longer (hopefully June or July spreads s love my way!)

I saw mentioned somewhere earlier that we may receive a confermation email saying were in the step queue? Has anyone actually gotten an email like that? I know that im in line for sure but I was just curious if other people are getting these and maybe I didn't lol

No. I didn't apply. But some people don't realize they should. There's a certain amount saying that you did x, y, and z, simply so you don't get asked about them in relation to your other problems.
Your isp may even have screened it out before it got to your spam filter. Trilo would know more about this. But I think you want to find it, because what if you don't get the ticketing email because it's disappeared the same way...
