MyLarry looks like a Scottish badass!!! Punk rocker tartan is so cool looking. I'm gonna look around for that.AntiM wrote:MyLarry has three utilikilts, one which is too nice for the playa. He also has a sports kilt, and a punk rocker tartan.
These are so cool!!! Cheaper than utilikilt too! Thanks for the site!!! Bookmarked.Papa Bear wrote:I have a black utilikilt myself, and recently bought a pair of kilts from from http://stumptownkilts.com as well.
The utilikilt is nice, and definitely looks a little more formal, but I think the two new ones are the ones I'm going to prefer for everyday use on the playa. That pocket/utility strap is a nice feature (as is the adjustability, since my waistline tends to fluctuate).
I don't have a kilt, but can we do a practice run so I know the drill?Sunbeam56 wrote:Ahem. I am a certified kilt inspector. Nice notarized license on display. Be sure to jave your kilt inspected during BM.
Ya I was gonna add some eyelets in the fabric for easy addition of el wire. I feel like a kilt would be really cold at night for some reason though. I was def thinking more day use. Them again I have never worn a kilt. Spent an lot of time at racetracks In the desert tho and damn does it get cold.fernley1 wrote:I was thinking of adding el-wire under my kilt so it would be lit up at night.
Light up my under frame kinda like a show car.
Maybe purple lights and wear florescent colored socks.
Oh I will have a tutu and skirt for sure... The kilt thing is Something I've always wanted to do. Being from Seattle they were pretty big here for a minute growing up. I guess it's a childhood dream I want to fulfill. Also I watched brave heart mad gladiator one tool many timesSchtev wrote:Skirts are way cheaper. Just saying.
I will make sure to walk around asking for the the kilt inspector when I get there.Sunbeam56 wrote:Ahem. I am a certified kilt inspector. Nice notarized license on display. Be sure to jave your kilt inspected during BM.
These are the questions that can only be answered by someone who has done it. and WOW - $14.00?! nice find!fLu wrote:So, I found a utilikilt while out thrift shopping for $14 and couldn't help myself, it was my exact size and was actually really comfortable when I tried it on. My only question now is how is this thing supposed to be worn?
I spun it around and around and it seemed to work no matter which way it was turned.
Is there proper playa-kilt-edict with these things? Boxers underneath? Free and clear? Should I be concerned about upskirt drafts and dusty nether regions?
