Kilts at BM? Any thoughts/experiences? Gotta be better than shirtcocking

utilikilts are a playa standard (as common as fake-fur & cowboy hats).

MyLarry has three utilikilts, one which is too nice for the playa. He also has a sports kilt, and a punk rocker tartan.

I have a black utilikilt myself, and recently bought a pair of kilts from from http://stumptownkilts.com as well.

The utilikilt is nice, and definitely looks a little more formal, but I think the two new ones are the ones I'm going to prefer for everyday use on the playa. That pocket/utility strap is a nice feature (as is the adjustability, since my waistline tends to fluctuate).

MyLarry looks like a Scottish badass!!! Punk rocker tartan is so cool looking. I'm gonna look around for that.

I made a (sort-of) utilikilt. Recently added a large pocket to the front. It needs a few more and I'll get to them as well. It went together surprisingly easily.

I was thinking of adding el-wire under my kilt so it would be lit up at night.
Light up my under frame kinda like a show car.
Maybe purple lights and wear florescent colored socks.

Ya I was gonna add some eyelets in the fabric for easy addition of el wire. I feel like a kilt would be really cold at night for some reason though. I was def thinking more day use. Them again I have never worn a kilt. Spent an lot of time at racetracks In the desert tho and damn does it get cold.

Oh I will have a tutu and skirt for sure... The kilt thing is Something I've always wanted to do. Being from Seattle they were pretty big here for a minute growing up. I guess it's a childhood dream I want to fulfill. Also I watched brave heart mad gladiator one tool many times

So, I found a utilikilt while out thrift shopping for $14 and couldn't help myself, it was my exact size and was actually really comfortable when I tried it on. My only question now is how is this thing supposed to be worn?
I spun it around and around and it seemed to work no matter which way it was turned.
Is there proper playa-kilt-edict with these things? Boxers underneath? Free and clear? Should I be concerned about upskirt drafts and dusty nether regions?
