Cool picture. Is that a meteor flying through?
According to the weather channel, the weather is supposed to favor the firefighters...cooler temps, less wind, somewhat higher humidity.

I'd guess it is a meteor, but that's only a guess. (I didn't take the picture)
Last I heard, earlier this evening, the fire was 5% contained. There's still a glow over that side of the valley. (it's 2:20am Sat.) At least they're making some progress... :?
I was out watching for meteors, but only saw one small, fast one a couple of hours ago.

Boring here. No weekend plans, Larry picked up beef in Kansas, and though he is bringing it back to Utah, that doesn't mean he gets time at home. They very much prefer the driver stays with the trailer of beef and not leave it anywhere unattended. Same with booze loads.

stayed up till 1 am looking for meteors........two little ones was it. dang, another dud shower.
I got called last minute to run "gate" for a private company, for a "drumming for peace" festival this weekend!!
24 hours of singing and drumming to set "world peace" intent..........and I get to guard the gate!!!.................
well, not alone, I'm taking helpers, of course.

Ah, the mysteries of life.

And death, I heard the magpies this morning. Wondered if I should go out and shoo away whatever cat was upsetting them. Yes, I should have. One of the neighborhood cats got one of the younglings. I am now sad and upset and having a hard time shaking it off. Magpies are a thing with me.

I'm sorry about your magpie.

Corvids can be attractive birds. I'm always happy to see a Stellar's jay, crows and scrub jays are rather common and uninteresting. However, in places up north the Stellar's jays are killing murelets... (my spellcheck wants that to be "mullets"--not a crime to kill a mullet). The crows weren't here in such numbers 20-25 years ago. I've heard it's all the housing in the valley. Which is problematic in other ways as well.

Tangents. Why do people never go off on cosines?

Morning, Fishy, Anti M Catman, Patsh and YG. Love seeing you last week at Muir Woods, Fishy. Good to get to know you a bit better. Not wishing to go off on a cosine however I've always wondered if someone who is chalant is the opposite of someone who is nonchalant. Good seeing Trilo the other night at BMHQ . Lazy weekend ahead, making some Playa goodies and dreaming ups some ways to deck out my playa scooter.

Patsh, that fire looks so wicked. Expect a lot more of that in the coming months

Have a great weekend, kiddies

Hello Dear All !

already back from morning plans now to continue this minimize project...I am giving away my costumes. all future life is a new ordinary look.

Yes, it was important to me to get to see you last week . MDF,ElLorrum, Fishy . Sorry but my son ate the whole container of cookies.

Marty, I love the chalant discussion ...

Patsh , I so worry about your fires.

But if anyone has time and is close enough , Tomorrow is the annual Muir Beach Volunteer Firemans' Ball/BBQ.
Excellent music (Vinyl and Andre), food, etc. It is in the meadow just past the entrance to Muir Woods.

My sons ride their bikes out but I am going with a carload of burners

Off grid problems, they wait, mdf. doot doo doot doot! I found I was scheduled to work yesterday, but had no notice of it when I left on vacation, and I did check at the very last time I could. Not scheduled today, but wavering about calling to make up for missed shift yesterday, or just showing up. It's a given that I would need to work one day of the weekend, plus Monday. If I don't call, I think I'll feel sneaky. but... too bad for them! I need to decide right now. Work will either scrape off my sierra elation, or it will slide right off my temporary vacation friction reduction coating. I feel pretty good, I hope it's the latter.

Oh, what fun and beautiful things there are outdoors in California. I had such deja vu in some places I remembered I had seen when I was very young. Confusion Hill, and Yosemite, Mariposa Grove. So close and not so hard to get to. I think I have a good ability to look around and appreciate, and I am wasting it indoors. Thanks to MDF for being an excellent co-pilot, knowing left from right, North from South. So many good people met us along the way; how blessed we are by our friends. It was just a beautiful mix of natural wonders, and good company. Thank you eplaya.

We are going to Golden Gate Park to see Tribal Baroque and my favorite street entertainer, S.K. Thoth. This is their final performance before they leave for Scotland.
Then we will seek out Tataki and find out what sustainable sushi tastes like.

Sounds like a really awesome trip!

Wonderful vehicles, Unjon, the both of them. Thanks for sharing those pics.

It's been less a lazy and more a busy weekend so far, with more ahead. Celebrated my girlfriend's birthday on Friday, and yesterday was all about working on projects. Been more of that today too, but I took a break from that to try and get caught up on things around here. I popped over to storage to get some pillow stuffing material we've had tucked away there only to learn that they're moving all the units (they're shipping containers) to a newer/larger lot a couple blocks away. Apparently it's happening in about a week. What the...???? They didn't send us a note or even mention it in a monthly statement. I've got to give them a ring on Tuesday morning to get the skinny, and make sure they can give me enough time to basically go in and prep the inside of the container for a move. We don't have tons of glass or hazardous chemicals in there, but I'd like to make sure what things we do have don't get mashed in the process.

Okay, back to work. Gotta get cracking on a couple more projects!

Just returned from visiting my parents. It was really good to see the family again and to enjoy the sanctuariness of their garden. Oh, and the first strawberries are ripe too. Time to stock up on booze to make strawberry liquor.
