Yo no soy un fan de soja.

I wouldn't bring any cereal at all because I don't bring milk to the event.

Breakfast burritos.

Honest answer to this question: choose the cereal that you want to eat all week. Even if everybody else here says "OMG Oat bran!", are you going to eat it if you hate it? Food choices are personal - one person's favorite thing could be another person's nightmare (ie: I don't eat bacon because I'm vegetarian, and I loath popcorn with a passion - seriously).

If you plan on bringing milk, go with shelf stabilized or dehydrated. You'll be much safer.

Whatever I would most want to eat dry.

Because by the time I a) realize I'm hungry and b)get to camp to eat the cereal I will be so far gone that all pretense of finding a bowl will be gone. I'll be half drunk sprawled on the floor of my tent and shoving handfuls of cereal into my mouth.

So I guess the answer is Chex?

I bring muesli. And small cartons of shelf-stable milk. I measure it out and put it into small "bowl" sized plastic food keepers before I get to the playa, and I don't have to think about breakfast, just pour the milk and wait...

I have over the years accustomed myself to powdered milk. I put a serving of dry cereal and dry milk in baggies and add a little water in a bowl, hey presto! If you make it stronger than recommended, it's rather sweet. I use nonfat dry, but would like to try some whole cream milk dry and see how it differs. I try to get the lowest priced and highest fiber and protein ratio, not any favorites.

But mainly I like oatmeal and raisins, no milk thanks.

Cap'n Crunch...no milk needed!

An easy choice. I end up like Chow describes many times during the week. It's a staple.

Clif bars. Easy peezy. Just not the white chocolate ones. I find anything overly sweet out there just makes me nauseous.

Haaaaaaa hahahahaha!

. . . I like organic Pumpkin Flax granola or frosted shredded wheat + Horizon Farms organic shelf-stable milk. Sold in individual servings in the juice aisle, typically. Real milk, no chilling needed (but it's nice, if you have a cooler).

But yes. Whatever kind of cereal you actually LIKE.

Like Tamarakay, I also sometimes like Clif bars.

What part do you hate about granola? Some of those granola bars do have the texture of pavement.

I always bring several of the little individual plastic bowls of popular cereals and an equal number of boxes of Horizon shelf stable milk. This way you don't have to pick one cereal, and you don't have to find a bowl!! :D

I always bring a box of Wheaties. They are my sweetie's favorite. I don't really want to eat cereal on the playa. Unless you are counting oatmeal, then it's oatmeal.

I am trying to get off dairy, so this year I am bringing a box of almond milk. Usually I make my own but it's so fresh it only lasts three days and that isn't enough. Box it is.

I see you as the one in full comatose inside your tent, legs half out of the front flap. The morning sun would reveal the scene of a cereal killer.

I love my oat turdnuggets. I even make my own now and then. Crunch crunch crunch. I do hate it when there are dried out raisins in the mix. Raisins should be happy, moist and plump... SunMaid Jumbo raisins are the best. I loathe chewy granola bars, they have a chemical taste to them, even the organic ones.
