Car Rental - San Fran

Post by tokyoakira » Mon Jun 02, 2014 8:43 pm

Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knew any burner friendly rental places in San Fran? Leaning towards a cargo van or a ute due to the storage space as well as bit of easier time cleaning afterwards, but would settle for a car if it came to it. Would just prefer to go with a place that is burner friendly rather then being deceitful. I will be travelling with two friends, the friend that will be driving along with myself are both between 21-24 y/o and coming from Australia, in case that information is needed.

How old are you? If you're not at least 25, you better book on the Burner Express...

Most American car rental places require the driver to be at least 25 for insurance reasons.
Most car and truck rental places are very burner un-friendly because of how trashed their vehicles get. You won't really be able to return it in the same shape, the playa dust will be in the air vents and literally everywhere.
San Fran is probably the worst possible place to rent from because they all know exactly where you are going and the places that will rent you one tend to be already booked up and/or extra expensive.

If I were in your shoes I'd look outside San Fran, but first investigate whether they will rent to an under-25 person or see if you can hook up with someone to go with you that is 25.
