Wow. I just saw this. I didn't know he passed. What a wonderful person. I'm speechless. He wrote two of my all-time favorite books: TIHKAL and PIHKAL.

Eli Wallach forever 98

Some of his movies include: "The Good, Bad, and Ugly" "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Misfits" which a portion was filmed here in Dayton and in Reno

Indeed, Eli Wallach....rest in peace. You deserve no less than that for the joy you brought us from the land of cinematic make-believe.

BTW, Thecatman, did you know he was also in Circle of Iron (The Silent Flute) with David Carradine, Roddy MacDowell, and others? Great movie.

Geez. So I'm going through my little notebook from last year. Bring bungee cords with hooks instead of balls. Bring a 6 pack of soda with caffeine. Put a seat cover on my bike. "Go to the temple for the man who can't come. Dead?"

WTF! OK. I usually avoid the temple but it looks like I'll be haunting the morose structure with tears in my eyes for someone I have NO recollection of meeting. He must have been nice or I wouldn't have agreed to it. I'll think of him as 'The unknown Burner". Going off to make a physical tribute now that I can leave in his memory. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I guess I needed to see that temple for some reason. God it makes me sad.

Oh, Tamara. And today.

I love you for your strength (among many things) and it seems like you need every sinew of it.
I hope you have a wonderful burn this year, wonderful in whatever way you need it to be.

...oh, Christ. I was just coming to see if anyone had posted yet, but I didn't need to know how. (One of my very first boyfriends took his own life that way, not quite three years ago; it's still a raw nerve.)
