At least these ones generally want to buy a ticket. Have we had any old-school, real ticket beggars yet this year? The ones we always got a handful of looking for a free "miracle" ticket? The hippy dippy Namasters are funny but the "someone should give me a ticket they paid $400 for because I'm a deserving beautiful person" types are worthy and deserving of the eplaya backhand. Right on page one.

I wept everytime her hippy handout shit worked!
And I'd like to dump my greywater tank on whoever made it possible.
Of course, that would be wrong and I officially do not endorse or condone such remedial dumpery.

Ahem. It was revealed earlier this year that LF was no other than Badger. Of the Rangers. This board's known Badger. At the time he quit the event he had more socks than Simon.

Sometimes, the most spiritual journey you can take is the one you take when you discover you cannot go where you intended.

The miracle ticket beggars still come, just in far fewer numbers now that the event sells out. These days they usually wait until the ticket boards start lighting up with ticket listings, which will probably be in July.

I think breakfast camp's ticket thread may have broken new ground. If I'm reading that right, their whole camp (who wants to make breakfast for the community, of course), is ticketless. That seems almost difficult to do, if they've been planning it for any length of time.

The miracle has transmuted to expecting "true burners" to sell their tickets to those without.

Your tickets, sell me your tickets. How much for the little vehicle pass? I want to buy your tickets.

That reveal was a classy exit. For me too, Laughing Forest did have a believable outrageous namasty-ness.

Everyone is panicking about looking for an RV to share with six strangers.
I paid less for mine than people rent them for.
WTF is up with that.

Yea, but otherwise it's not a half-bad post.

Pro-tips for (Burning Man) résumés:

- Make it clear that you're "chill."
- List important experience such as "traveling" and "roadtripping."
- Indicate that you speak French, especially Quebecois -- excuse me, Québécois -- French.

Hi! We are Inflatable Jesus Camp out of Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, there was an incredible response to our Monkey Jesus Mercy Church Burning Man project, and we'd like to return this year in 2014 with the same level of heavenly glory! We present:

Soccer-Christ the Redeemer

Image

Unfortunately, the costs for all of this are prohibitive if we tried to fund them through camp dues only. Though our citizens are actively trying to rid our city of the floating Jesus menace by fronting some of the costs, the cost of transport alone is outrageous due to taxes, given the high minimum wage we pay our McDonalds workers. We also want to furnish our camp with some new couches. That's why we need your help.

If you have fond memories of standing in the shadow of a floating Jesus watching you bathe at Human Carcass Wash, please "pay it forward" so we can regift your money with righteous vigor with this floating Jesus.
