Anyone interested in starting a recycled Wednesday?
I plan on making an outfit out of entirely recycled items for Wednesday. A combination of plastic grocery bags and crushed aliminum cans
I'm not talk thrift shop clothing, actually making fashion out of recycled material.
Any ideas, let me know.

So you're going to be wearing garbage? Um, as they say in Texas, "El Paso."

Google ABC party clothes. (anything but clothes). It's great for a party. girls can wear caution tape and boys wear a shower curtain. I don't think it would work on the playa. Too moopy and too much trouble.

I've got my "police tape" utility belt ready to go (nylon though, not plastic)Ratty wrote:Google ABC party clothes. (anything but clothes). It's great for a party. girls can wear caution tape and boys wear a shower curtain. I don't think it would work on the playa. Too moopy and too much trouble.

Duct tape clothing would probably hold up okay, though it would be too heavy for daytime.

Also, you can knit/crochet with recycled plastic bags, and that holds up well.

My outfit is a combination of playing cards, fake flowers and cake frosting. Can't wear it to the burn.

I recycle a Wednesday about every seven days on average.
The next morning you will wake up pretty much your old self except that a very unusual 16 hours will have been added to your store of life experience.

I wore part of a failed shade structure one year, festooned with prayer flags. I also own a hoop skirt festooned with plastic bags and baby wipes, and wings embellished with beads, plastic cups and condom wrappers. The skirt and wings have never been to the playa.
