Need to arrange flight from BRC-->Sacramento/SF on 8/24

Hello e-playa!

My name is Swerve and I'm in something of a tight spot!

My wife and son and I are all returning to the playa this year as a part of a large village and until recently we had been planning on all driving in together as a family on 8/22 (Friday) so I could set up our camp and some general infrastructure items for our village.

However the default world had different plans for me and now I will need to be at work in Vacaville, CA for 8/25 (Monday)- 8/27 (Wednesday).

Generally I take on a great majority of the physical labor for setting up my camp (hexayurt and shade) and I also assist in setting up, and provide tools for, the village's shower, shade, art cars, art, et cetera.

My wife suffers from a chronic neck injury and will not be able to handle driving in and setting up our own camp, much less contributing to the village in the ways I normally do, not to mention making sure our son has everything he needs.

Here's the rub, I would very much like to stick with my original plan of driving in with my family on 8/22 (Friday) so I can make sure that the camp is set up right and the village is taken care of.

In order to do so I'll need to arrange for someone to fly/drive me back to Vacaville/Sacramento/San Francisco on 8/24 (sunday) so I can be at work on 6/25 (Monday).

I will then figure out how to make it back to the playa once I'm off work on 8/27 (Wednesday), going from SF -> BRC is easy.

Anyway, does anybody know how I can go about booking a flight into/out of the BRC municipal airport?

Does anyone know someone who will be driving back to the bay area on 8/24 (Sunday)?

Vacaville is barely five hours (by sedan) from BRC. Why not drive in two vehicles, and leave an hour earlier (leave BRC at 4 a.m. you're in Vacaville by 9 a.m.) and you're there. What you're doing is setting yourself up for failure by depending upon somebody else for your problem. What if there is a large dust storm and all flights are grounded? (It happens every year.) Take some personal responsibility and figure it out for yourself. Radical self-reliance, remember?

As far as your Caravan idea is concerned I certainly think it's theme appropriate, but unless I'm mistaken it would require that we purchase two vehicle passes. In the spirit of community I didn't want to monopolize the car passes by purchasing more than I absolutely needed. When I return to the playa on Thursday I'll be ride sharing or shuttling for exactly that reason.

Anyway, at this point I'm trying to see what my options are, and caravaning to the caravansary is certainly on the table.
