This is what I remember.
Fresh made French fries.
Sirloin steak grilled over mesquite.
Teriyaki chicken breasts.
Monster sausage.
Bore bacon.
Bean salads.
A marmite vs vegemite taste off.
Liquid nitrogen for freezing anything you wanted to taste frozen.
Assorted vegetable material that I didn't pay attention to.
Lots of absinthe.
Almost any drink you can think of.
And, and, and!!!!!!!!!!

so just signed up for Ice at center camp. I dont have a team but signed up for tue 12-3, thur 9-12 and fri 9-12 as a slinger. I prefer the early shifts and most of those in the early part of the week were already grabbed at Center Camp. Lots of opportunities for volunteers later in the week.
If anybody wants to sign up and join me for those shifts that would be cool beans. Always worked Ice at 3 but Center Camp should be fun too. Right?

Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
Some do, some don't. There have been many interesting and delicious things at the M&G's that I've attended. Although many like to bring their specialty or something unusual, it is not always practical so each brings what they can. It is nothing to stress out about.Jovankat wrote:But folks do tend to go all out and have some very impressive stuff right? Like it's a bit fancier than chips and dips yeah?
Your camping situation would generally limit your choices for example someone with a one burner stove would be hard pressed to bring fresh baked cookies, while this would be relatively easy for someone in an RV if they desired to.
Since I am a minimalist on the playa and bring no cookware or even a heat source, I generally contribute booze.
Everything Figjam said and more - barbequed ribs, fresh snow cones (topped with syrup or booze), fresh cookies, ice cream, alcoholic drinks that tasted like pineapple upside down cake flash frozen into pops, dozens of types of booze. The sky is the limit and those who can often go all out.

Thu 9-12 (Yay Jonsi!!!!) and Friday 12-3.lucky420 wrote:lucky420 wrote:I'm waiting to hear from ice for volunteer sign ups. Should be coming anyday. I did fill out their thing. Pavlova would be wonderful! and yeah,I think most H.D. stuff applies to an open/public event. This is more a private "pot luck".Jovankat wrote:Am I right in thinking the Meet and Greet is a private event and thus the rules of the health department permits don't count?

Just brewed a batch of java Stout last night. But to be honest I think I'm bringing the Smoked Chipotle Porter............and of course the fixings for margaritas. There must always be good tequila to share with friends. I think that's in the survival guide somewhere.
