I've always thought that the Paiutes, the Cheyenne, the Dine, and the Hopi had it down right. They didn't own the land, the land owned THEM. Sort of like a cat on a much larger scale.

Thx Mr Rhino. The USA relations to native peoples have been sad to worse. But Canada does not even recognize at a government level many tribes. Cool to see in Australia some people-level honoring of native people, a change, but way more to go.

The correct answer was "make arrangements to leave it with a local gunsmith for cleaning and then pick it up in a week". That way you dont violate the closure order, no cops are involved whatsoever, and you get back a professionally cleaned and oiled weapon ready for zombie duty.

Damn those pesky thread locks anyway...

I don't believe the OP wished to carry a gun around the festive.
My impression was she was asking if once she arrived if the gun was in a secure safe was that allowed.
As soon as she realized no guns allowed at all on the grounds she immediately began looking into alternatives.

An interesting legal question for sure. One I have faith will be given some thought now that it's been brought up.

I'd be willing to guess the guns to resident's percentages are interesting in the state of Nevada... one might think a tad high as a guesstimate

I suck with handguns, but a shotgun? You betcha. Would I take it anywhere outside the home as defense? Nope. Unless I was defending myself against milk jugs. I kill the hell out of those bastards.
