The new whacky hotshot doctor said something like "I haven't been this hungry since the last Burning Man festival" which I assume is some reference to getting the munchies. No reaction from any of the other actors and no follow-up.

I could tell with the promos for the beginning of the season that ER had jumped the shark...now, it appears they can see they're going to land smack in the middle of the tank.

Burning Man was mentioned in a Utah story about a local fire artist:

http://www.kutv.com/freshlook

Select Fire Tornado Artist 11/9/04 and hit play. I had to turn off my pop up blocker to see it btw.

Since the mention was embedded in a news story, it didn't bother me. It wasn't a huge thing, more of a context for the fire performance clip. Still, pretty dang cool considering I'm in utah and easily amused.

It also looked like a couple of scenes were filmed in the Blackrock Desert or some other playa.

That wasn't "some other playa," that was Utah's West Desert. Very cool place if you stay off the federal bombing ranges.

The glowing orange squid in my dream last night mentioned he was going to give a BIG gift to burning man next year.

Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

VICE magazine

Post by amazon » Sat Nov 20, 2004 12:46 pm

well I saw a not so cool photo pasted into the DO's And Don'ts section in VICE magazines HATE issue (this a magazine that makes fun of everyone and everything) and I was pretty sad to see a picture taken in center camp published and used that way.
It was a nude man in center camp and they say it was taken at Burning Man this year.
Sure it was a funny commentary, but totally inapropriate and in violation of a delicate trust of photographers and participants on the playa!!!
This is a free magazine with a very large circulation and a website. The site seems a bit different from the magazine and I cant find the image but its in the paper circulation. (http://www.viceland.com/) Not sure what the BMorg thinks of this. I guess I will email them too!
Any idea whos attention I oughta bring this to?
