STEP tickets after STEP closed???

I just received a mail from STEP saying that I'm the next person in queue, but the mail is dated TODAY, 3 days after STEP was closed...
I'm really happy but... any explanation??? Isn't it strange?

the code is the email address where you received the email, as indicated in the message

Step closed for new registrations. They are still sending out tickets to those that are already registered.

i think i was to excited to read it all the way threw i kept getting to step ticket offered then i started screaming

Hello,
Yes, we got an email July 27 about 10:00PM. We are so happy to get STEP tickets. Last year's burn was a disaster for us and we want this year will work out great. We are busy getting the camping gear all set-up. Since we tent camp, Hushville here we come.
A thank you for the good people that take their time to set up all this stuff,
I can't wait, just 1200 miles and a few weeks, then PARTY, PARTY, PARTY
