Pah, fuck other threads that profess to be for drunk posting, this is a bar for fuck's sakes! Drunk posting in here has worked for me, I highly recommend it for those who imbibe.
Been a good day of prepping and building. I got a lot done, though still more to do. Time to kncok off with the painting, make myself another, and then waz up some kind of dinner. Shots all round!

Is fireball whiskey big out there on the west coast?? It seems to be the shot of choice here in Indiana this summer. I've not tried it yet.unjonharley wrote:Damn Cat came back... Re: The Bar 2014 Edition
Last year, a bicycle customer gave me a hip flask full of Bourbon. I've been sipping it, making it last a year. And I just polished it off. I believe they drove the Golden Spike at the location of the Man a couple days ago, so the year is up!LeChatNoir wrote:(Hops down from the rafters)

Of course, there is a bit of a story behind that flask. The fellow barged into my camp and started picking up my tools while declaring loudly that he was going to repair his bicycle himself. I calmed him down. He became very apologetic, and searched his pockets, looking for a token of amends. The flask was it. So I've been celebrating People Skills with a sip now and then.

Re: The Bar 2014 Edition
Evening Bar! Been a productive day, in a slow, I don't want to break it, sort of way. I'm doing new frontiers skill set basic electrics and audio. Found some great ABS sort of plastic sign board that is very forgiving for drilling holes, and cutting holes. Trying to fit some things into a marine flip open cover for a boat radio that should look neat on the trike. No sound yet, but nothing's broken either. So that's good. Now I'm just doing shwag work, taking white led's out of key chain lights, and putting in slow color changing ones.

Shew... I can't bring myself to try the Fireball stuff. Not big on the Redhot or similar flavors. Plus there's so many good Bourbons and Rums to give my time to.

I have a checklist of checklists... I have everything everyone recommends I bring. I'm certain I am completely unprepared.

Howdy folks, I just read through your blogspot Chuckulorne. I'm impressed! The little trailer for your kayak is super and you sew!! My assignment today is NOT to accumulate anything more for the burn. (Or buy a trailer.)

I knit (badly) as well! I can knit the hell out of a scarf, but anything else is typically an utter failure! I learnt to sew when I was a kid. I have four sisters and I'm the only child my mom managed to teach to thread the sewing machine. I consider it sculpture
The kilt has come a long way since the pictures!
The kayak cart was fun as well. I like to put together things I need. I've been "self-reliant" since long before I learned of the 10 principles.

Does it matter whether it's Canadian, Scotch, Irish, Kentucky bourbon, or Tennessee whiskey?AntiM wrote:My flasks are filled with rum or absinthe. MyLarry is the whisky drinker in the family. I can't stand it.
Rum's not a bad choice. It's just not as 'zapataesque' as I prefer.......I have the mustache, might as well drink the tequila...
Then again, I COULD be talked into bringing my famous and often desired chocolate martinis. Godiva, Ghirardelli, and Belgium's best, all in one, with a daub of whipped cream and a large cherry.

Because... guess who just joined our camp, but the famous (and presumably desired) Martini Steve himself! And we are now scouring the Earth for the secret ingredient of his heavenly Chocolate Martinis, which I first tasted in 2006 (at the ceremony where Kamp Apokiliptika surrendered to the invading "Wires" from Camp Herring).
That said.... It is possible that Martini Steve has retired from competition to give others a chance at the laurels, but I shall certainly bring his attention to your claim of fame and desirability, Rhino!
*runs off looking for Martini Steve*
