Hey, so I don't know if this is information anybody actually has, but how large is playa dust in microns?

This old thread talks about the chemical composition, but doesn't give microns (unless it's buried in the text of the linked article), and then there is this multi-page thread about the dust you can dig through.

Here is a good general range for where dust particles fall.

However, when I did pharmaceutical testing, most dust is picked up below .5 microns...no idea how that matches up out there

Here are a few common particle sizes
Pollen 10-100 microns
Cement dust 3-100 microns
Ground Talc 0.5 - 50 micron
Wheat flour 1 - 70 micron
Atm dust 0.001 - 40 micron
Could get a lot more technical on this by looking at the modal distribution and some common methods for classifying particles (D50 D4,5 or D90)
