swiss virgin is looking for a camp

Post by clasi1 » Tue Aug 05, 2014 9:40 am

Hi Burners

It is hard to be a virgin (again). I love to participate in a creative camp. There might be anyone out there with a nice place to stay and participate?

I am a Swiss Globetrotter on the way to his first burn. For more information about my person, check out http://www.travelbuddy.ch

PS Do not reply if you expect chocolate or cheese.

Hugs and kisses
Claudio

I''m moving this over to the 2014 camps board, since that's a better fit for 'seeking camp' threads. You may want to take a look through the threads on that board for more info and tips. Good luck, and welcome to the site!

You don't want to hear me yodel;-) and I prefer the timeless travels...
But of course there is a helvetic knife in my pocket.

Sorry, that I don't fit the Swiss stereotypes... my skill is organization;-)

Organization still fits my stereotype of the Swiss. It's a good thing. And your women are gorgeous. Please offer chocolate.

However, consider what kind of interests you have, what type of people you'd like to mesh with at Burning Man, and I bet you there's a camp for it! Simply walk into their camp and ask them if you can stay there. If they have the room and you're helpful and polite they'll probably take you in with open arms. I've never burned with any pre-arranged camp yet, but have always let fate take me where I need to be. At times I've done the solo thing. It's always an adventure, and you'll be happy and fine either way and I've made amazing friends on the journey. There's even a virgin camp if you're so inclined to camp with others who are excited as hell and don't know what's going on :) the fun is the adventure.

I appreciate that. Thx! I think I'll do it your way and walk straight into some camps to find out how they do. Like you wrote, either way it will be an adventure.
It seems that Swiss have a nice and charming reputation! Wish you a nice one...

Yeah don't worry about the fees everyone else in the camp has paid ahead of time or any pre-playa prep they've done or anything...

You might be walking from camp to camp for a while and since you'll have had to bring everything you need to survive the week in case you don't find a welcoming camp that might not be so fun.

The usual way is to do a similar thing electronically before you show up on the playa.

It's perfectly fine to shop for an area, neighbors, like-minded campers. I don't know what percentage of the participants pay to join organized camps but there are plenty of us that bring it all and welcome people to be part of our group for the week. It's true you can't stay in a camp that has charged dues. Oh, the options....Have fun.
