Hello! This will be my third burn and my Mom's second burn. We're looking for a camp to join. We're happy to pay dues and help out when needed. It would be great if there were other people in my Mom's age range (she's 60) for her to hang out with when I sleep in during the mornings. We are very self sufficient with a large shade structure. We'd just like some company.
Mom's a happily retired scientist and an avid skier and and gardener. She lives in eastern Washington state. I love hiking and have an education startup here in San Francisco. On the playa I love staying out late and dancing, especially at Robot Heart. Anyone need more campers?

The Lamplighters have plenty of folks over 50 and we're friendly! We're in a central location with a lot of shade, too.
If your mom is looking to do a little volunteering one morning, we can always use a hand collecting lanterns in the morning. Have her come by Lamplighters by 8am any day of the week. We're at about 5:00 in the circle around Center Camp this year. Morning lantern collection isn't as physically difficult as the actual procession (there's a support vehicle following the group) and it's a fun way to see the inner playa and Esplanade in the morning.

When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.
