RSVP'n - ticket arrived today so it's a go. Not sure what I'll bring but it will either be food or booze or maybe both.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Just a reminder: Barbie Death Camp, home of the M&G, is in a different location this year, at 6:30 & Ephesus Streets!!!
I feel like that should be in big pink letters on every page here.
See I know this crowd.

Oh gawd pavlova on playa (playlova?) would literally be the end of any and all foods I could eat out there. I probably couldn't eat again and be happy. It would be that good.Jovankat wrote:Am I right in thinking the Meet and Greet is a private event and thus the rules of the health department permits don't count?
I'd really like to work out a way to bring a Pavlova...

That said, are lurkers allowed? I can't offer much by way of snacks but carry a sketchbook and will happily do you a portrait. (Bear in mind I attempted to come last year and got distracted and didn't because reasons)

For those of us planning to contribute booze...is there a preference between beer/wine/liquor? I would love to bring some tasty Colorado microbrews but I won't be able to bring nearly enough to share with everyone

No preferences - people will drink any of those so bring what you want.Madgirl wrote:For those of us planning to contribute booze...is there a preference between beer/wine/liquor? I would love to bring some tasty Colorado microbrews but I won't be able to bring nearly enough to share with everyone
With everyone contributing it is not necessary to be concerned with enough for everyone. There will be plenty to go around and then some, although the selection may vary from one moment to the next.

Online forums are weird and fun. I'm glad I didn't spend as much time on here as I wanted when I signed up last month, But I read plenty of topics and responses by you all.
I have been more focused on trying to get involved with my local Burners and they are all great, super duper excited for my first, the time is almost here, and i can't wait to meet some more rad strangers.

Finishing packing. EAP for Wednesday arrival. Just need to find a soft sided food carrier to keep the sausages hot on my trek from the airport to the M&G.

I've never given it much thought but where the hell did the name pineapple come from? It's neither Pine or Apple. Heck they grow on the ground & not even in a tree.
To make it a super secret password you should change it to Pine Apple (Yeah, that's technically 2 words). I know its subtle but that's what makes it work.

Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
There is an ever so slight chance that I may be able to stumble to the M&G after getting my shade up Wednesday afternoon. I didn't make it last year and I would very much like to see some of you in person again (I did get to meet Elliot while on a random mission for ice). Thanks for the pineapple password and location change update. Glad I checked this post. I would have been off wandering the 3 o'clock side looking for BDC.
