Oh God I've been distracted by the wonder that is New York for the past few days and now there are SO VERY MANY unread posts it's a little overwhelming :(

But the good news is the shirt I ordered especially for the meet and greet had arrived when I got back to Berkeley

I wish I was panicking about packing... haven't gotten that far. Still three major deadlines in the next two days...
Ugh.
Then I can panick.
In the meantime - there is a beverage I am looking for... hmmm....

I don't recall who was wondering about the webcam... but I've just heard from the folks in Gerlach. They know the screen could use a good cleaning (after all the droplets and dust), but doing that requires heavy equipment and right now that team is focused on other things. When they get a chance, they'll give it some TLC.

In the meantime, damn, another busy day. I'm a dozen projects into the day, but still have a couple more things to finish up. Time for a refill, and then back to work!

Panic panic!!! But things are finally getting finished. Yikes.

Yay Jovankat you got your shirt for the M&G!!! The skirt I planned for the M&G remains imaginary and the fabric for that has gone into the "next year" pile. :?

And thanks for checking on the webcam, Trilo! Imagine... the heavy equipment team is busy doing something else right now???!!!

Good luck getting your fire truck parts, (((Yggy))).

:D
I just loaded the refrigerator on the trailer. At this rate, I will be ready to roll a couple days early.

Of course, that's after I cancelled rather a lot of Stuff I wanted to bring. But the sensation of being ahead of schedule is priceless.

:D Came in here to say the same thing. All my boxes are on their way. I haven't had a drink in a week, so I'm taking the night off with a nice bottle of wine.

work this week has officially kicked my butt. I'm running a temperature, something wasn't washed right, or somebody gave me a bug. Huge project I did all by myself, little pats on my own back, that was big. I'm exhausted, taking the night off, and going to bed soon, after pounding some liquids, some ibuprofen for the aches that will be coming tomorrow.

AIYEEEEEE! I'll do it. I have it all ready in some form or another right now. The rest is the same old icing on the cake that I'll make next year.

Hi Elorrum, sorry you are feeling poorly. Take it easy and get lots of rest and plenty of liquids and hopefully you'll be fit as a fiddle for the grand adventure that is the Burn.

A baked Pago Pago Octopus?

So, Yggy's going to clean the camera on his way in?

Elorrum--If I had the money, I'd hire you as my very own mad scientist. Then it will turn out that I'm a terrible employer and that it's less fun when it's your vocation rather than your avocation. Tragedy all around, but at least a new tragedy?

Today's Captain Obvious moment--
Listening to some Soviet bloc song, in a language I don't know, but I do pick up the word "Lenin". All those damn songs were the exact same thing as pep rallies and corporate "team-building" exercises, trying to impose a group identity.

To Clyde and all our faithful friends. (((YG)))
In other news, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Maryland Department of the Environment held a joint press conference to announce a new study of declining blue crab populations in the bay. I swear, we had nothing to do with it.
