I've been on Effexor for several years now and haven't had an issue with sun burning. But sunscreen + playa seems to be a good combo. But I've also not burned at other sun baked events with no playa. YMMV

You'd be surprised how fast you can sunburn in areas that see little or no sun. 10 minutes is plenty of time.

Other medications also make skin extra sensitive to sunlight, such as the antibiotic doxycycline.

OMG I went to the beach once on doxycycline & I've never burned worse in. my. life. SOOOOO PAINFUL
