Ride needed - RNO to BRC, Aug 19 or Aug 20

Howdy!

I'm flying in to Reno, arriving the morning of the 19th, and my original ride plan fell through. I'm an ESD staffer with a valid EA pass, and I simply need a ride for me and my suitcase (other gear coming later in the week) so I can be on time for my shift the morning of the 21st.

I guess the rideshare desk doesn't even open until the 21st, so I'm obviously hoping to catch someone riding up before then.

I *have* placed an ad on the main rideshare page but no replies yet. I have a bus ticket for my return trip, so that's good. I can chip in for gas, buy a reasonable lunch, etc. A quick stop at a grocery store for some snacks would be nice but otherwise I'm fairly self contained.

Either the 19th or 20th is fine, I can crash in Reno for 1 night.

HELP. :-)

Couple of questions:
What is the date on your EA -- 19th or 20th?
When do you land in Reno? I plan to leave at 7 a.m..
Could you take a taxi to the Petro truckstop in Sparks?

I have a staff credential, the EA is part of that. I can arrive up to 48 hours ahead of my first shift, and since I arrive in Reno at 11am (shouldn't take TOO long to get my suitcase off the belt...) on the 19th, I'm A-OK there. :-)

And yeah, I could probably catch a cab to the Petro there, sure. :D

Ah, they give you two days before shift, eh. I get only one day with GP&E. But 11 a.m. plus plus is too late for me. I need to get up the hills before it gets hot out, lest I cook my transmission. So I'm afraid you are still looking. Best of luck, and thanks for all you ESD folks do!
