And now right after Ygmir, I had to take cat to vet today... kidney failure... Cat put down rather than suffer to death... plus big bill to pay. I would have given him all the tuna he wanted first but he couldn't even eat it.

Sorry to hear that Captain, we just had our cat die peacefully in his sleep at the foot of our bed on July 5. Buried him up on the hill behind our house. Still look for him to come to the door for dinner and brekie each day. Very sad to lose a pet. They get very entwined in our lives and a void occurs when they depart.

Daughter could not let Sheba cat go yesterday.. The vet said no later than Monday..
Pretty much the same for the dog too.. Our house is very sad right now..

So sorry about everyone's dear companion animals.

In perhaps an opposite way, my couch finally got built today. The dog hasn't seen it yet, but I've sat on it (yeah! It's not my chair, and it's not my bed! I get to sit on something else!), but he was in my mind when I made plans to get it.

Love is a funny thing. I think we love our animals because it's purified of the competition between ourselves and even our closest humans. I can't express it.
We had two sister cats and they got to be 16 years old or so. One was ill and we didn't bring ourselves to get her to the vet. After that, we were sure to get the other there when she was ready. It's a hard thing to do...

About our animal loves, I miss mine more than my children.

Decided to rethink going EA because it involves staying over in a house filled with cats in Nevada City.

My sweet Sheba ...
She made herself comfortable in a frame on the couch, so, it's a pre-framed picture!

Sadly, she needed many (very many) hundreds of dollars of dental work (at the same time as I did), so I had to feed her soft food twice a day... not a problem until my son ended up in the hospital in Flagstaff, a considerable drive away. It became quite the challenge to be in both places at once. She has a new home, unknown to me, where I hope they've taken care of her teeth. She was the sweetest, smartest kitty.... *sigh*

I'm so sorry about everyone's animals. It's making m nervous though and I think I should put in a Skype call to my cat* American Boyfriend returned from the burn last year to find his cat had been taken to the vet by the person looking after it and it needed to be put down, there seems to be something about this time of year maybe.

*Well my mother but she doesn't blink and eye when she answers the phone and I say "Hello I'd like to speak to Mitsu please"

Although I do love them , cats make me sick and I have to take stuff that makes me feel down
so the place where I would be going to gather our camp supplies is a house with dander and last year I slept outside instead. That is with EA pass .
But I do need a ride so instead of going EA if anyone in the bay area has some room ..I will contribute extra to avoid taking zyrtec.
