BEST/WORST LUCK EVER

Post by HEATHER_INVICTUS » Mon Aug 18, 2014 2:40 pm

So I might have gotten a job in Yosemite National Park, but they want me pretty much ASAP.

THAT MEANS I'M GOING TO MISS THE MAN BURNING
           :| :| :| :| :| :|

might have to leave a few days early instead of staying the whole week like originally planned.

Yosemite is freakin awesome, though. I can't miss out on this opportunity.

There's always next year!

But I really wanted to see that man burn. :(

In 2012 had a ticket, EA pass, was all set to go, and hadn't been able to be there for four years!! Just then I got a new better job, and the other guy there who does what I do already had the week of BM reserved "off". I had to forfeit... BM, not the job... congrats on the great job, AND for having your priorities straight!

Yay for awesome job!

Yay for making someone very happy when your ticket in is their hands.

That's the way I see it too. Most of us would miss the Burn for a dream job!

Congratulations, Heather Invictus! :D

( I hope you get to see if the job is yours before you get rid of your ticket. )

I'm giving this a nudge over to Open Discussion, since I think that's a better fit for this type of discussion.

As for your news, hooray/aww.... but kudos for having the good sense to know the golden opportunity when you see it, and not passing it up because it would mean cutting your burn a little short. The new gig will mean life gets better all year round, and hopefully make for even better future burn experiences. And wow, talk about a great view at the office!
