iBurn 2014 is out for iOS and Android

Hey all,

The last two weeks were pretty intense, but we finally finished iBurn 2014 and it's now live on the iOS and Android app stores.

We put a lot of work into it so I hope it is useful for someone!

I attended my first Burn last year and I found iBurn to be ridiculously helpful. Thanks so much for your team's hard work on the app, it looks amazing this year.

Hahahaha I wish. We really have to get this policy changed for next year considering all of the camp locations (and more) are available from 3rd party sources like BurnerMap.

Yeah, it's a weird policy considering that there's BurnerMap and all the camps are posting locations on their respective FB pages. Seems kind of silly to disadvantage your team.

The new app looks awesome and I really like the new icon for the app in iOS. You guys definitely built a rock solid app; I had zero issues with it while on the Playa.

Thank you for the kind words! The v5.0.1 iOS update just got approved (in less than 24 hours) so that's pretty sweet. Hopefully I'll be able to talk to the person in charge of the policy this year so we can stop pretending the data isn't already out there.

The new icon was inspired/derived from the splash screen rendering by Jim "The Dude". I just used one of those iOS 7 PSD templates and tried to make something that looked visually appealing. Later I noticed that it's not perfectly centered... oh well.

iBurn-iOS and iBurn-Android are open source on GitHub, so hopefully we can get some pull requests merged before iBurn 2015.

Simon. I use it before the burn to find camps and activities Id like to do. Like Dye with Dignity, WTF will BDC be this year, where will the M&G be? I would like to know before hand is all. Im not usually at a computer but I like to know addresses for shit. Where people will be and such. The battery on my shit phone only lasts 3 hours anyway. With a GPS itd be dead in an hour and Id have to bring a 6000 generator to keep it charged all week. I like how it is easy to use and search rather than going thru lots and lots of events on the main webpage. Best thing I do is turn it off on the playa. I hate the fucking thing Mmmk.
