I know people have asked many times over, but as I'm in the bay area now, can anyone throw out a good suggest to pick up some man(-ish) gear on the weekend. I had a box of the few things I picked up this year sent out on Monday. Was supposed to arrive on Wednesday. And it did... in fucking Florida. Seriously... if you put it in the wrong basket, what are those two baskets doing so close together? Anyway, no sense stressing about that, even though I want to.
So... I had a jump suit in there which I was pretty pumped about. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone an think of a place I should swing by, I'm all ears.

Mission Street - start at Thrift Town on Mission & 17th (west side of street), then pop into the weird little shops as you head south, just south of 19th on Mission is Mission Thrift (east side of street), one of the best thrift stores in SF, and has Burner stuff (all the racks are crammed, did both through mens & womens, ask the clerks - they have good ideas if you're looking for something more specific. As always in thrifting, more specific = less chance to find). From Mission Thrift head down 19th to Valencia. At 19th & Valencia is Schauplatz, a little more expensive but he has some really great thing. Head north on Valencia & you'll come to Community Thrift (more hit-and-miss in my book), and just north of 16th and Mission there's Clothes Contact, which sells stuff by the pound.
On Haight, just start about Masonic, head down one side of the street towards Golden Gate park as far as Schraeder, then head up the other side back to Masonic. There are a ton of thrift stores & funky clothing shops, but they tend towards more tourist pricing.

Thanks man -- I will hit that on Saturday I think.
I went to Mission last year (very briefly) and got a few goodies. I might need to invest a couple more hours.
Who knows... maybe USPS will actually get the box to me in time. :-/
