Last Minute El Wire Options

Post by ruchir12 » Sun Aug 24, 2014 6:55 am

Any recommendations for alternatives to El Wire?

We are first-time burners and didn't realize how important it was until the last minute, and so we no longer have time to order online. It seems like the retail stores where they might be available are sold out.

To light up our backpacks, bikes, etc, should we plan on just attaching glowsticks? Or are there any other recommendations? Would there still be any way for us to buy E-Wire, perhaps in San Francisco or on the way to Black Rock City?

Thanks a lot for the help, this forum is a godsend!

EL wire is not important at all. You're fine with some clip-on blinky lights like joggers or bicyclists wear.
Glow sticks are so 15 years ago! But seriously, they aren't great because they create trash and if you're concerned about such issues, they aren't eco-friendly at all.

Edit: Notice I happen to be wearing one of those blinky lights in my picture!
