Jungo Road - rain disaster

I have 2014 4x4 V8 Chevy Silverado, coming up from Los Angeles right now. From what I'm hearing from friends up there, the paved road is a parking lot for miles and miles.

Has anyone driven Jungo Road in the last two days? Total washed out disaster? Or is it still passable?

Doesn't matter. It's a parking lot because the gate is closed until at least tomorrow morning.

Yes, it's a parking lot. But if I get on 447 tomorrow it will be miles of parking lot. Jungo Road would skip a whole lot of that. So maybe I'm looking at an 8 hour wait via Jungo road vs. 12 to 15 hour wait via 447 (numbers pulled right out of my ass )

Say you went that way. (shouldn't) Say you had a sat phone. (couldn't) Say you called emergency for help. (wouldn't arrive). Take I5 and come in 447 from the North if you think you are more special than everyone. Or just hang by the pool at the Grand Sierra like everyone.

(you are bringing mud plates, shovels, multiple extra tires a ground crew, tow strap and another vehicle, right?)

447 will not be a picnic, with over 10000 visitors from the North.

Haven't heard about Jungo Road conditions this year.
That said, it wasn't a lot of rain, but very localized showers, usually light, sometimes moderate for a shorter period, with the odd thunderstorm cell. For BRC, it was just enough rain for long enough at the wrong spot, to wet the playa, drenching parts of it. From the radar images, I'd expect the entrance to the playa from the pavement to have been drenched too.
So unless there was some severe thunderstorm cells in the wrong spot over the road, I wouldn't expect the rain to have washed out the road. Provided it was alright after the winter...
Unfortunately, only one way to know for sure.

Thanks for the reasoned response. I was already 75% against taking Jungo, but wanted to see if anyone else was out there on it in the last day or so.

I'm radically self reliant, but perhaps not not enough to handle Jungo within 24 hours of a storm. As you point out, there's only one way to find out. Maybe another year
