Yes you most certainly do! I wouldn't forget that you know. I have an open Ben and Jerry's Pistachio Pistachio, care to share?

and since we're sharing writing samples...here's a bit o' mine:

Fancy worked with a man who recently began to fill her thoughts like she wished he would fill her thighs – a wild boy man who met her gaze and held it, not directly confronting or aggressive but direct and deep – like she was an animal he was secretly hoping to tame. The first time she saw him her heart leapt in her chest as some desperate part of her realized it could be free with him, let loose in a way she had never been able to do with any other person, without fear of hurting him because he would love it. Somehow she felt he would love her because of her fierceness not in spite of it. He looked like a man who could ride her waves and stay standing – even thrill in the force of nature present in her passion. A man who would face into the heat and embrace it, and come away reinvigorated and amused. Fancy needed that man.

She didn’t know it yet, but she needed him more than any hot biker babe at women’s weekend or any sleazy one night stand with yet another unknown musician – more than a pretentious dilettante with a receding hairline and the illusion of an expanding margin of discretionary funds. She needed a real man, the kind she had always been afraid of, the type who won’t take no for an answer and won’t accept less than you’re capable of – the kind of man who usually found Fancy a little too something and not enough something else, but for some reason this one, this time he wondered…she wasn’t sure that was enough.

Good gawd, Regyna, but so much of what you wrote rings true for my green man and how I feel for him....except that biker babe part, maybe I'm slightly more timid than that.....

Hey, guys.... Kalahari red chai, 4 sugars, please.

I'm hanging in there, post-breakup; actually saw the person who was the catalyst behind the breakup the other day, and got to reassure her that I bear her no ill will. Yes, she was a catalyst, and she'll accept that label...but I get the impression she feels like people are branding her as The Other Woman<tm>, and I told her in so many words that I do NOT view her in that light. It would not surprise me at all if she and I wound up better friends in the future.

I'm starting to organize my room here at Offhand Manor, and make it more My Room and less the sewing room and library. There's more I want to do with it, but not much I can do while still on unemployment. Though with luck, the employment issue will improve dramatically in short order - I've been going through a job training course on a government grant for dislocated transportation workers, and getting certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist. And there's a job fair at Wells Fargo on Thursday, so I'm hoping that'll go well.

Name your poison. I'm going heavy myself after this afternoon. My friend the bartendress was trying to knock my ass out. But I managed to escape with my feet on the floor and the rest of me off of it.

I'm going espresso, and more espresso.

Welcome Purple. I need to catch up on what I missed in my absence. BRB

Well, purple, I know the feeling let me tell you.

Ugh... I hate it when that happens. I admire your restraint. I may have been less so and did like I unfortunately often do, opened my mouth.

Better to keep it shut. =|

I'm not so worried about length, as long as they are lithe.
