Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
I assume that it refers to the fact that it looks sort of like a pine cone, and uses "apple" as a generic term for "fruit" (which was commoner a couple centuries ago.)
Which makes me think... What do you call the saying that the zen master recited about the bonsai?
A pine koan.

Well I'm off to the playa so will not be able to reply to any further questions about the M&G, although there are numerous regulars which can answer them.
See you in the dust.

Meet and Greet was great. Good putting together faces and names (had a couple left over names but I'll save them for next year). Just a little less than year and we can do it again. Thanks to everyone that helped put the M&G together.

I'm so sorry I didn't make it. I was really looking forward to it, but when the time came our bar was extremely short handed and I couldn't leave. I hope it was fantastic, and hope to make it out for next year.

Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
Meet and greet was AWESOME for me this year.
A big shout out of thanks to Dr. Pyro for holding it at Barbie Death Village and Wine Bistro.
Another big shout out of thanks to both Elliott and Killbuck for judging the 1st Chocolate Martini Mixoff. In keeping with the spirit of Burningman, a big shout out of thanks to Martini Steve for his participation, advice, and superb mixology sportsmanship. You, sir, are a true blue ribbon competitor with whom I would mix with any time.
There were so many wonderful and magical people there that I could not hope to justify any sort of list because I would invariably and stupidly leave someone out who made a positive impression on me. Everyone there I consider a fine example of the best of Buningman camaraderie.
See you next year.

Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
Thanks so much for that great swag!!! That was by far, hands down the best swag I received. I'm amazed at the time people put into great gifts. I've really gotta step up my game for next year. Bringing 800 Otter Pops to the playa was okay, but I think something that can last a little longer will be in store for next year. -Thanks Again!!!

The m&g was Great! I'm sorry I was having a meltdown at the very moment I got there. I got over it when I realized how awesomely wonderful it was. I love all you guys. Drawing a Blank, great job wrangling it together and Thank you Doc Pyro for having us.

It was great to meet/reconnect with you all. Being a little "introverted", I was happy for the opportunity to mix with you. And, kudos to the person that brought the smoked salmon. It was wonderful.

The smoked salmon was from kowtow of Portland and camp Not A Fucking Camp, Camp 5:00 & H.. He also smoked some great Tillamook cheese. Loved meeting or remeeting so many of the eplayans! And yes, the smoked salmon was delish, the Vegemite not so much, but the spray cheese certainly helped take the taste out of my mouth

Re: Eplaya Meet And Greet 2014 Edition
First and foremost I want to thank all of the volunteers who actually showed up.
Next, a huge thank you to those who stepped up and helped out when most of the signed up volunteers never made it to the party. No blame - it was a great burn and we all know how hard it is to walk past all those distractions on the way there lol.
The M&G really takes a lot of hands to make it happen and you all were a tremendous help. It really demonstrated how burners pull together when something needs doing.
As usual we had some great food and booze, plus some of the best swag I've ever seen at a burn.
Attendance was a bit lower than usual, but I will have more accurate numbers when the guestbook arrives back here in default.
There were a lot of leftover name tags of all 3 styles so anyone who would like some for their memory wall or scrap book should PM me.

Chuckulorone, there was a Charles there but he was an unintentional interloper. He was a hell of a nice guy that walked in, signed a nametag and never realized it was a private party. (Kind of like the accidental tourist.) He got me cold water from his bike because there wasn't any available. By the time I discovered that he didn't know what eplaya was, I was drunk. All very BM. It was a fine M&G. I'm sorry not to see Savannah at all this year. I meant to have her over for snacks and tequila.
