After the Temple Burn I rode out into the deep playa. All my friends had gone home, so I spent the night exploring alone.
At the end/beginning of the chain of balloons that went into the sky was another art exhibit. There were a 100+ helium balloons tethered to the ground. A lady sang to them, the balloons changed colors as she sang, while a man walked around them. This was my first burn and seeing the exhibit made me think of the week, I utterly broke down and cried like a baby for the next hour. The man invited me in the circle and the woman hugged me. I completely lost it.
Does anyone know the artists who made this exhibit? If they have a website or anything? I really want to send them an email to thank them. It was the perfect end to a perfect week.
Thanks!

Description:
"interactive floating pixel forest of 81 wirelessly controlled LED balloons... voice activated live by Leah Siegel... Dressed in white, she walks through the forest painting the balloons with her voice. Wind patterns reveal as the balloons shift simultaneously like a school of fish, a flock of birds, or cattails blowing in the wind. As the wind settles the balloons rise again to reveal a strict grid of light, a pixelated video screen which showcases dynamic color patterns, gradients, and washes. Visitors are escorted into the forest to lay down and watch the star like orbs of light."

Video here:
Wow, that looks fantastic. These smaller installations/performances are what keeps me coming back. Stumbling across something like this unexpectedly and having it be amazing.

Oh! And Christian! You're a hero. I hope your back feels better. And You Two - I know exactly what you look like and how fabulous you are but the brain cell with your names on it is still decompressing somewhere. You stuff balloons and show up like stars.
And love and thanks to all the wonderful people who participated so gently and patiently with our delicate installation. It was a joy sharing this project with you. Your hearts are big as elephants.
And to all the thumping, bumping art cars who quietly joined in or tiptoed away - big thanks too.
